In college I wanted a Macintosh computer, but they were $3000 at the time and an IBM compatible PC was only about $1000. Decision made. So I ran DOS on it, but then in 1990 as Windows 3.x was gaining popularity I too wanted to have a GUI on my DOS based system. But, I didn’t want Windows. Not yet. So, I installed and used - and loved - GeoWorks. (~1990)
